I was inspired to do an Inspirational Journal because I wanted women from different walks of life to write from their hearts so that readers could glean from their experiences.  If we could put a smile on someone's face, then we know that this isn't just another journal.  


It's my desire for everyone who reads this prophetic Awesome Women On The Move Prayer Book to feel the power of anointed prayer coming from these pages.

NY State Park Police Officer ~ Trainee Exam Coming Up!

A competitive written Civil Service examination for the position will be held November 19, 2016. Applications must be submitted to the Department of Civil Service by October 5, 2016.

The Work, Learn & Grow Employment Program (WLG)

The Work, Learn and Grow Employment Program (WLG) is a New York City Council-funded initiative designed to build off of the experiences gained in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). WLG provides 2016 SYEP participants who are between the ages of 14 - 24 and currently in-school with career readiness training and paid employment opportunities for up to twenty-five weeks from October to April.            
WLG career readiness training will focus on such topics as career exploration, financial literacy, conflict resolution, resume/cover letter development and opportunities to continue education and social growth. Programs are located in community-based organizations in all five boroughs of New York City. Youth can apply for the program online during the application period. Participants are selected by lottery for the program.

The Horatio Alger New York Scholarship Program

The Horatio Alger New York Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students in the State of New York who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education. The award is funded through the generosity of Association Member Paul Anthony Novelly. The applicant must have a strong commitment to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution. The student may begin his/her studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution. The applicant must also plan to enter college no later than the fall following high school graduation. Each applicant must demonstrate involvement in co-curricular and community activities. Scholarship recipients will be announced in January. The total value of this award is $7,000 paid out in installments annually.  Apply at www.horatioalger.org by Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
