Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) Open House ~ September 7, 2013

Join us at The Herb Alpert Center on Saturday, September 7 from Noon - 4pm for the 2013-14 Open House. HSA faculty and students will be on hand to share details about the new school year, and we'll offer free 30 minute introductory classes in our disciplines - music, dance, theatre, visual arts, and musical theatre.

Open House is a great chance to try something new before you enroll. Make a mural, see students perform, try a class and "meet the instrument!" We'll have a fun assortment of activities for all ages that you won't want to miss.

In-School Youth (ISY) Program

Attention high school juniors and seniors! The In-School Youth (ISY) program is DYCD’s year-round program targeting at-risk high school juniors and seniors. The ISY program provides services such as occupational skills, employment services, and educational opportunities. ISY services include: tutoring, college preparation and out-of-city college trips, paid internship opportunities, and summer work program.

Free Afterschool Programs ~ NYC!

Free afterschool programs for youth in elementary, middle, and high school! DYCD’s afterschool programs are located in community centers, middle schools, and community-based organizations throughout the five boroughs. Afterschool programs operate in the afternoons, and many are held on evenings and weekends, and during school holidays, vacation periods, and the summer. All programs provide a wide range of activities for young people, including tutoring, homework help, college prep, recreation, and cultural arts.
