Starting June 8, 2015 you will have a new way to access key information about your child's progress in school. With a NYC Schools Account, you will be able to view your child's attendance, report card grades, and general student information in one of ten languages on a computer, phone or tablet.

 

 

Creating Your NYC Schools Account

Visit your child's school, or schedule an appointment to create an account. Be sure to bring:

• Valid photo ID (passport; Drivers License/State ID; Permit or IDNYC ID).

          For additional information on obtaining a photo ID, visit http://www.nyc.gov/idnyc.

• Your child's 9-digit NYC student ID number.

• Valid email address.

Signing into Your NYC Schools Account.   Visit http://schools.nyc.gov/myaccount.

 

On the NYC Schools login page, enter your email address and temporary password. Follow the directions printed on your "NYC Schools Account Confirmation Receipt". Your NYC Schools account will walk you through the account set up.

The "Impact of Giving Back" Contest (Grades K-12)

From now through January 20, submissions are open for the second White House Student Film Festival. The theme of this year’s festival is The Impact of Giving Back, and it’s open to U.S. students, grades K-12.

Students can tell their stories about paying it forward, about community service, or what making a difference looks like in their eyes and through their lens. It can be a fictional story or a short documentary, so break out the lights, write a script, get the camera ready, and show us your passion for service and giving back. The official selections will be featured on the White House website, and shared across the world on White House sites and official social media accounts. Winners may have a chance to attend the film festival at the White House!

WorldofMoney.org Financial Institute ~ REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Founded in 2005, the WorldofMoney.org is a New York City based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to empower youth with a sound financial foundation. The Westinghouse Electric Company STEM Grants

The Westinghouse Electric Company is accepting applications from schools in the United States working to provide creative hands-on projects related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through its N-Visioning a Brighter Future program, Westinghouse will award $1,000 grants to three schools for any project with a STEM-based focus. An additional $2,000 grant will be awarded to each school’s science department for general needs. To be eligible, applicants must be elementary, middle, or high schools located in the U. S. 2013 WorldofMoney.org Youth Financial Education Institute

It is time to pre-register for the 2013 WorldofMoney.org Youth Financial Education Institute!  The institute is open to children ages 7-17.   Returning students fee is $300.  New students fee is $350.  For those wishing to participate in the Washington, DC/White House tour, you must be enrolled by March 29 and the $125 tour fee must be paid by May 1.
