NYC Schools Account _ Starting June 8, 2015 ... NYC PARENTS TAKE NOTE!

Starting June 8, 2015 you will have a new way to access key information about your child's progress in school. With a NYC Schools Account, you will be able to view your child's attendance, report card grades, and general student information in one of ten languages on a computer, phone or tablet.

 

 

Creating Your NYC Schools Account

Visit your child's school, or schedule an appointment to create an account. Be sure to bring:

• Valid photo ID (passport; Drivers License/State ID; Permit or IDNYC ID).

          For additional information on obtaining a photo ID, visit http://www.nyc.gov/idnyc.

• Your child's 9-digit NYC student ID number.

• Valid email address.

Signing into Your NYC Schools Account.   Visit http://schools.nyc.gov/myaccount.

 

On the NYC Schools login page, enter your email address and temporary password. Follow the directions printed on your "NYC Schools Account Confirmation Receipt". Your NYC Schools account will walk you through the account set up.

National Day of Service ~ President Obama

Dads Take Your Child to School Day ~ September 20, 2012

This year the Dads Take Your Child To School campaign will be held across New York State on Thursday, September 20th. Last year over 200 schools and Head Start programs across the State, numerous community and statewide partners, and over 9,000 dads participated in this event. Downtown Dribble Tickets On-Sale Now! (Newark, NJ)

Like basketball or just dribbling a ball?  The 2nd Annual Downtown Dribble will take place on Saturday, September 1, prior to the Liberty vs. Washington Mystics game at 4 pm.  For fans who missed it last season, the Downtown Dribble package includes a ticket, a t-shirt and a basketball at one low price of $25!
          The Downtown Dribble is a collaborative effort between the New York Liberty, the City of Newark and its community in support of the city's Let's Move! Learn To Ride (a Bike)

The Parks Department and Bike New York are proud to present Learn to Ride classes for adults and children. In these free classes, we’ll teach people of all ages the fundamentals of bicycling, preparing them for years of safe and confident riding.
Class Description: This class (formerly known as Teach Your Child to Ride a Bike) teaches a safe, easy, effective way to learn to ride. Using this “balance first” method, parents help get their children rolling while the child does most of the work. Participants learn the basics of balancing, starting, stopping, and steering a bike. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with an easy, hands-free, crash-free, and low-stress way to learn to ride.

Film: Talking It Through: A Police-Teen Dialogue

June 27, 2012 - 5:30pm Teenage members of the 2011-2012 Youth Justice Board studied police-youth relations across New York City. The Board is pleased to present a short film, TALKING IT THROUGH: A POLICE-TEEN DIALOGUE, that provides information for young people about reducing tension between youths and police in their communities. The film screening and presentation by the Board will take place at the Maysles Institute, located at 343 Lenox Avenue in Harlem, at the date and time above.
