Proposed Tony Duke Academy Charter School
Boys & Girls Harbor, located at 1 East 104th Street in Harlem is helping prepare an application for a new charter school, which will be submitted to the SUNY Board of Trustees in April. The proposedTony Duke Academy Charter School, named in honor of Harbor founder Anthony “Tony” Drexel Duke, is scheduled to open in 2014. It will feature an infusion of the performing arts, an individual learning plan for every student, and a close collaboration with Boys & Girls Harbor. Preparing for the GED
If you are a young adult (between the ages of 17 - 24) and took the GED and passed some but not all parts of the test, you have until December 31, 2013 to re-take the parts of the test that you failed. In January 2014, the test will change and passing scores on the previous test will no longer count. The 2013 GED Campaign to Finish has classes to help you pass the tests you failed. School Safety Agents provide security and
ensure the safety of students, faculty and visitors in the New York City Public
School buildings and surrounding premises by patrolling and operating scanning equipment,
verifying identity and escorting visitors and by challenging unauthorized
personnel and removing them from the premises. Qualifications:

areas. When required, an agent issues
summonses to illegally parked vehicles, directs traffic at an intersection,
testifies at administrative hearing offices and court, prepares required
reports, and may operate a motor vehicle.
Traffic Enforcement Agents at assignment level III are required to
operate a tow truck. At all assignment
levels, personnel may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

3. Candidates must possess a Driver's License valid in the State of New York. Candidates for assignment level III must possess a towing endorsement in addition to their regular license.
